South Coast NHW Stalwart Shona Morgan is recognised with the Regional Watcher of the Year Award

South Coast NHW groups congratulate Shona Morgan on being recognised at the WatchSA AGM as the Regional Watcher of the Year. Shona is the Area Coordinator of Woodcroft  406 where she has displayed outstanding leadership in promoting community safety.

Willunga NHW 556 Christmas Concert 16 December 2014

WIllunga 556 NHW is pleased to host the Concert Band of the South Australia Police at the WIllunga basketballl stadium, Main Rd WILLUNGA at 6.30p.m. Tuesday 16th December 2014. Come along and enjoy some old fashion christmas carols with some popular Concert Band favourites. Small $2.00 donation. Sausage sizzle provided byWillunga CFS. Father Christmas will be making an appearance.

It is sure to be a night of great family entertaiment.

South Coast NHW Awards Dinner

South Coast Neighbourhood Watch Groups recently held their annual  awards presentation dinner to celebrate 28yrs service to the residents  of the City of Onkaparinga and to acknowledge the efforts of their many volunteers.

Guests for the night included the Acting Commissioner of Police - Deputy Commissioner Grant Stevens, Officer in Charge South Coast Local Service Area - Superintendent Paul Bahr and MC for the evening The Honorable Robert Brokenshire - family first- legislative council.

This years winner of the prestigious Les Scanlon Award was Jan McMinn from Hackham West NHW (Photo being presented by the Deputy Commissioner and Supt Bahr  - also present hearing dog- Ashl;ey)

Judy Dunn from the Willunga NHW was awarded the chairpersons  trophy  for her ongoing commitment to NHW (Photo with NHW Chairperson Peter McMahon and Senior Sergeant Gordon Little)

NHW Volunteer recognised by the Premier

Congratulations to Peter Wire, (Area Coordinator for Mclaren Vale/Mclaren Flat NHW) on being awarded the Premiers Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Volunteer Service. Peter was nominated by the City Of Onkaparinga for his service to McLaren Vale and McLaren Flat. Well done Peter.

Peter was presented with his certificate by Mayor Lorraine Rosenberg

South Coast LSA NHW AGM

South Coast LSA NHW Chairperson Peter McMahon was re-elected uncontested at last night's AGM. Congratulations to Peter, Deputy Chair Barry Wells and new appointees, Lisa Brett- Secretary and Reg Pietsch - Treasurer. 

 South Coast LSA thanked the committee and the represented groups for the crime prevention work that they had undertaken in the past 12 months. Particularly their participation in crime prevention  engagement days, their distribution of crime prevention material within their NHW areas and their support of youth leadership development.

 South Coast LSA remains committed to the Neighbourhood Watch partnership as we work towards making the community safer
